An Open Letter to the PEOPLE of THE UNITED KINGDOM
Greetings, citizens of the United Kingdom. My name is Charlton Rice-Laurie. I am His Majesty’s newly appointed ambassador to your country, and bring you the fondest of wishes and greetings from the British Empire.
As you no doubt will have heard, contact was recently made between our two Britains - our two parallel worlds - and diplomatic relations commenced between His Majesty’s British Empire and the United Kingdom. These discussions soon reached an entirely peaceful conclusion, with an harmonious and friendly partnership being established between our two nations. It is in the spirit of this partnership that I now address you.
It has been decided that, given the unique relationship between our countries, citizens of either will be offered the chance to attain joint citizenship of both. And so falls to me the happy task of presenting to you the following opportunity: join the prosperity, freedom, and enlightenment of the British Empire.
Applications will be accepted from any who wish to submit them. The process of proving your eligibility for joint citizenship, however, will not be so simple. We at His Majesty’s Ministry for Immigration, Naturalisation and Citizenship pride ourselves on accepting only those most worthy of a place in His Empire. As such, we have devised a series of tests which will prove your ingenuity, creativity, and drive, or your lack of them. You will find details of these tasks, and instructions on how to complete them, on the main page of this “blog”.
It is with the fondest good wishes and highest hopes that I encourage you to throw your hat into the ring. Should you decide to join our most prosperous and happy Empire, I look forward to guiding you through the application process.
